In 2002, Therm-ic was awarded as the “Most innovative New Business in Austria in the Past 25 years”. This company was born in 1985, from the idea of a sportsman who was tired of cold feet and, therefore, imagined a shoe warming system. Two years later a patent was filed. Since then, it has been steadily developing further. With the new SmartPacks technologies, the foot warmer system became very successful in the 1990s. Since 2006 the Thermic soles can be fed by last generation rechargeable batteries, lighter and smaller, for maximum comfort and functionality. Following the cooperation with Snowlife, Therm-ic is also the first adjustable heat system which has been fully integrated into gloves.
2011 is birth year of the innovative Therm-ic heated sock.
IC is the abbreviation of Impulse control: this means that the
heating elements also stimulate blood circulation, in order to
maintain the temperature at fringe areas.
